Locals Guide: Paris

Locals Guide: Paris

Everyone knows Paris. Or at least they think they do. But the best way to experience a city is to ask someone who actually lives there. So we caught up with Paris local @jl_ndj and asked him for the places he keeps coming back to. Where to eat, where to shop and where to stop for something sweet. No Eiffel Tower required.
Here are Jean-Luc's Paris picks.

Favorite Cafe - Rollsy

Not exactly your traditional Parisian café. Rollsy specialises in French-style cinnamon rolls, with everything from their glazed Original to pistachio, Oreo and Nutella and salted caramel and pecan variations. They also do house-made lemonade-based drinks if you need something to go with it. Visit @https://www.instagram.com/rollsy___

Favorite Vintage Store - at dawn

A handpicked vintage and multi-label store founded by Alyssa and Matthieu, at dawn brings together one-of-a-kind vintage finds with pieces from emerging and established designers. The selection is built around clothes with character rather than whatever happens to be trending. Visit @atdawnparis

Favorite Restaurant - Kintaro

A no-fuss Japanese canteen built around an open kitchen. The menu covers the classics — ramen, Japanese curry, tonkatsu and plenty more — making it the kind of place you go when you're more interested in what's on the plate than what's on Instagram. Visit @kintarogroup_kg

Favorite Park - Jardin des Tuileries

Right in the middle of Paris, but somehow still a good place to slow things down. Stretching between the Louvre and Place de la Concorde, the Tuileries is made for wandering, people-watching or grabbing a chair by the fountains and doing absolutely nothing for a while. Visit - @jardin-des-tuileries
